Security Tips



   Avoid offering lifts at random to unknown persons.

   When travelling avoid accepting drinks or foods from strangers. They could have been drugged.

   Avoid using lonely roads and taking the same route all the time.

   Drive with your car windows wound up and all doors locked.

   Be vigilant and sensitive to cars behind you, one or two may be trailing you.

   Avoid giving clues to criminals by not giving unnecessary details to callers on the telephone.

   Train your children, domestic staff and relatives staying with you on security measures to ensure safety of all at home and outside.

   Write and paste emergency/help/ploice lines in conspicuous places around the house.

   Ensure your residence is well lit at night.

   Residents in estates and block of flats should device identity cards to distinguish visitors from residents.

   Resist the urge to give domestic staff/drivers advance knowledge of planned trips.

   Reinforce house locks and keys; and if possible change constantly.

   Do not leave keys dangling on doors.

   Don't discuss security arrangements outside your house or on the phone.

   Alert police of suspected/unfamiliar vehicles parked in your neighbourhood for a long time.

   Avoid talking about your private life in public places like salon, restaurant, parties etc. Armed robbers gather more than enough facts from such places.

   More importantly, keep a low profile life and avoid living extravangant lifestyle.

   Refuse business deals that promise quick, easy and plenty money. It is called "Advance Fee Fraud".

   Cooperate with the police at all times, report and give information about suspicious persons or movements.
